Advancing awareness and knowledge of diabetic foot care in the Gulf region

Diabetes is one of the most challenging health problems in the Middle East region and particularly in the Gulf countries. More than  37 million people in the Middle East have diabetes and this figure, if no action is taken, it is predicted to rise to 68 million by 2035. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have the highest prevalence of diabetes among the Middle Eastern countries.
